Fostering Creativity in Your Life

Select areas of your life in which you would like to be more creative: in your job, an activity you enjoy, or your relationship with someone. Make a special effort to infuse a fresh perspective and new ideas into these areas, and keep a record in your Thinking Notebook detailing your efforts and their result. Be sure to allow yourself sufficient time to escape from habitual forms and establish new patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Focus on your creative antennae as you "expect the unexpected," and seize on new ideas when they emerge from the depths of your creative resource.
